The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship got underway on Thursday at Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit, with the Official launch of the championship under scorching sunny skies in Australia.

With the official press conference taking place at 12pm LT, the anticipation began to build with circuit officials and riders alike speaking of the thrill that 2017 is set to provide. Clear that there is to be a high level of competition throughout the season, the paddock is thriving with expectation.

In a now traditional season opening format, the Official 2017 Chevron photo was shot on the start straight in front of a stunning blue backdrop. The perfect way for the season to begin, all riders lined up in their new colors ready to take on the challenge before them.

To commemorate this momentous landmark, the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship will celebrate its 30th season, kicking off on Friday 24th February at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Throughout the 2017 calendar, a specific graphic has been created and will be used in order to convey this milestone.
