"MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 racer Josh Day suffered what he considers to be the biggest highside crash of his career this past weekend, during Superstock 1000 Practice 3 at Road Atlanta."

That's what we wrote just six weeks ago, following Yamalube/Westby Racing rider Josh Day's massive off during round three of the 2016 MotoAmerica season. "Here's to hoping this remains the biggest highside crash of his career," we added.

Unfortunately, that crash at Road Atlanta will not have been Day’s biggest, as this weekend at Road America, the former AMA Pro SuperSport East Champion suffered yet another vicious highside. And without question, this one was the biggest yet.

Day, who had suffered a broken thumb in the Road Atlanta crash and had just recently returned to racing, is reported to have suffered head trauma and a fractured wrist in this crash, according to MotoAmerica.com. We'll wait for further updates, but in the meantime, heartfelt well wishes to Day on a speedy recover.
