Video: Alvaro Bautista Smashes into Mechanic During Bike Swap at Argentina GP

Apparently not all bike swaps can be Marc Marquez smooth...

MotoGP riders and teams are generally pretty on point in anything that they do. There's always that small chance though, that regardless of how well they prepare, something will go wrong.

This is one of those instances where something does go wrong. Way wrong.

I have to imagine that like any other team in the paddock, the Aprilia team has practiced bike swaps countless times by now. None of that seemed to matter this weekend though, when during the flag-to-flag race at the Termas de Río Hondo Circuit, Alvaro Bautista apparently missed his braking marker as he was coming into the team's pit box and ran straight into one of his crew members.

Almost unfazed, Bautista jumps up and runs over to his B bike (a mandated change due to tire longevity issues in Argentina) without hardly even glancing over at the downed mechanic, and then heads back out of the pits.

As the saying goes, the race must go on. Looks to me like the Aprilia team might want to run through their flag-to-flag bike swap procedure just a few more times though.
