Dainese Cooper Shoe - GEAR EVALUATION

Looks like a shoe, protects like a boot.

The Dainese Cooper “Shoe” is actually a boot, by measure of it terminating an inch above the ankle. But Dainese calls it a shoe because, more than a boot, these are made for riding and walking. Whether you’re a motorcyclist or simply a human with feet, the Cooper Shoe is excellent full-grain-leather, fashionable, performance footwear. These boot-like things provide the full comfort and feel of any professionally designed shoe, featuring exceptional quality, construction and styling that also address the needs of motorcycling.

For riding, the Cooper Shoe has interior armor at the heel and anklebones, plus leather overlays for the gear shifter, whether you shift with your left or right foot. For walking, the interior is lined and lightly padded, and the soft, treaded sole provides sure footing. Leather lacing is through five pairs of metal eyelets riveted to the boot. The exterior stitching is shown and highlighted with mildly contrasting thread. A cool look and ready to ride.

Something notable about the Cooper shoes is the contrasting white sole that’s flat, without a defined step for the heel. So, for those who prefer riding while hooking their heels on the pegs, these might not please. But for all others who desire a high-quality, high-fashion, practical performance boot that’s great for riding, walking, and styling, the Cooper Shoe is soundly a leading choice, providing comfort and protection.

The Cooper Shoe is from the Dainese Heritage Wear 36060 line of riding gear, and is highly recommended. Available in two colors: light or dark brown leather. Sizing is in USA, UK, and European, and is slightly smaller than labeled, so expect the best fit to be a half-size up.
