Big changes for the YZ450F in 2010. Yamaha completely rethought most of the fundamentals when designing this all-new motocrosser. Most interesting is the reversed cylinder-head layout, putting the intake tract at the front and the exhaust at the rear. The cylinder is canted rearward, as well, helping centralize the mass of the bike for more nimble handling. Fuel injection with a 44mm throttle body feeds a four-valve combustion chamber, Yamaha dropping its long-running five-valve layout. The aluminum chassis and suspension are also redone to help keep Yamaha at the front of the MX field.
