We here at Cycle World get to experience the latest and greatest in motorcycling. On any given day, the fastest, most exotic, most sought-after bikes on earth are packed in our garage like Tokyo subway commuters. Dual-sport, sport-tour, sportbike, dirtbike, whatever: We've got it.

Recently, much to the chagrin of some of our staff, a good chunk of that space was taken up by a motley collection of 50cc scooters. Scooters? Fifties, no less? Yep, we involve ourselves with "everything motorcycle" here at Cycle World, and since these little fellers have two wheels and a motor, we thought we'd check them out. We put our man Mark Cernicky on the task, and after much testing, and diluting of his fragile self-esteem, we present these notes on six side-street steeds.
