Honda pulled the wraps off its latest CBR1000RR this week, nearly ten years after the last major update to the platform. Some time between those ten years, bikes changed, rider aid technologies blossomed, and expectations grew. Will this CBR be able to keep pace?
Personally, I think that all of the necessary elements are there; the weight, the power, the chassis. And then there's the thing you can't see: the electronics, which in my opinion is a huge part of being quick on a modern superbike and just feeling comfortable at a fast pace. If anyone can build an electronics suite to rival Yamaha's, I believe it's Honda.
The pics below won't help us figure any of that out, but it's still something to consider when you start perusing through and thinking that the outwardly visible changes to the CBR1000RR might not be enough.
The photos are also just really cool, and we were pretty excited when they came across our desk. We figured you'd be too, so here they are in all their glory. Save 'em as your wallpaper image on your phone. Post 'em to social media. Or send 'em to your riding buddies. Enjoy.
