DYNO VIDEO: 2015 BMW R1200R

A standard Beemer, but there's nothing standard about 107.7 horsepower!

BMW's new 2015 R1200R is a street-savvy naked German powered by a liquid- and air-cooled 1170cc boxer engine with vertical-flow four-valve cylinder heads. And although there's a clear mechanical lineage tracing back to the original BMW R32, this new R1200R is very much a bike for the 21st century, boasting sophisticated electronics that make it relatively easy to ride, even on rainy days. With 107.7 horsepower on tap at 7720 rpm, plus 78.5 pound-feet of torque at 5170, this Beemer makes excellent power. Think of the 2015 BMW R1200R as a German version of the Ducati Monster 1200.
