DYNO VIDEO: 2015 Yamaha FZ-07

How much power does the 689cc parallel twin in the FZ-07 produce?

Most of you know we're big fans of Yamaha's little FZ-07. Many of us at Cycle World, in fact, actually prefer the agile little FZ-07 streetfighter over the larger FZ-09 triple. Naturally, we wanted to see what the beautifully fueled 689cc parallel twin of the FZ-07 puts out on the dynamometer, so we had Road Test Editor Don Canet fire up our Dynojet one again. The result: 65.91 horsepower at 8,750 rpm, and 45.38 pound-feet of torque at 6,480 rpm. Not bad for a bike with a dry weight of only 379 lb.
