VIDEO: 2014 EBR 1190RX Uncrated!

Anticipation is a wonderful thing. And we were brimming it while waiting for a 2014 EBR 1190RX—the bike that's on the cover of our July issue—to arrive at the Cycle World garage. Senior Editor Blake Conner had already ridden the Erik Buell Racing 1190RX at the JenningsGP track in Florida, and now it was finally our turn to sample the $18,995 American superbike.

EBR, for the record, shipped an 1190RX to us for an exclusive Cycle World test, which means you will soon be seeing a dyno, dragstrip, and racetrack comparison test against a standard Ducati 1199 Panigale. In the meantime, enjoy this video of us uncrating (and starting !) the EBR for the first time in the CW studio.

And, yes, it has that “new-bike” smell.
