2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC ABS SBK Special Edition – First Look A new four-cylinder Italian superbike that’s exclusive to North America.

2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC ABS SBK Special Edition

As model names go, this one is a mouthful: RSV4 Factory APRC ABS SBK Special Edition. That’s the official name for the 2013 Aprilia repli-racer seen here and unveiled today on the Aprilia Americas Facebook page.

Exclusive to North America, the claimed 180-horsepower, 1000cc V-Four SE honors Max Biaggi’s 2012 Superbike World Championship with subtle il Tricolore motif graphics, a red belly pan and “2012 SBK World Champion” decals on the fairing sides.

Specifications are similar to those of last year’s model, with refinements to the Aprilia Performance Ride Control electronics suite (traction, wheelie and launch control; quickshifter) and weight distribution, plus a reshaped and slightly larger, 4.8-gallon gas tank, a new Brembo front brake master cylinder and M430 Monobloc calipers with the latest Bosch ABS, a nominally lower seat height and new 200/55-17 rear Pirelli.

Last year at Miller Motorsports Park, the RSV4 Factory APRC posted the quickest lap time and won our
Superbikes 2012” shootout (August, 2012).

According to Aprilia, the RSV4 Factory APRC ABS SBK Special Edition will be available at dealers in
April. Pricing will be announced February 1; the 2012 RSV4 Factory SE retailed for $22,499.
