Help Riders Spread Holiday Cheer This Season

Riders For Health Press Release:

While Santa readies to deliver gifts by sleigh, Tsepo Ketele, a Health Assistant in the Maseru District of Lesotho, prepares to deliver a most essential gift, health care, to families by motorcycle.

Before Riders for Health, Tsepo travelled the rocky road of this mountainous country by foot. He was only able to reach three villages a week. Now, Tsepo uses a motorcycle that Riders trained him to maintain and operate safely, and he is able to reach twenty villages a week.

This has made the difference between life and death in villages like Ha Thaba-Bosiu. No health worker had ever visited the village before Tsepo. No one provided treatment for HIV and tuberculosis. No one performed water and sanitation inspections. No one educated the village on how to avoid spreading easily preventable yet deadly diseases like cholera.

Now, with the aid of his Riders for Health motorcycle, Tsepo does these things and more on a regular basis.

So much has changed by helping Tsepo reach communities by motorcycle. You can make a positive change in the New Year for more people like Tsepo and more villages like Ha Thaba-Bosiu by making a holiday gift to Riders today.

A contribution of $20 could buy a replacement battery. A contribution of $100 could buy new tires. Please consider these and other options, then click here to donate.

Thanks to Riders and our generous supporters, Tsepo is able to provide health services for hundreds of men, women, and children in Lesotho. Still, there are hundreds more waiting for his life-saving visits.

Together, we can move global health forward this holiday season.
