Call us crazy, but after watching this Kawasaki teaser video we recently stumbled onto of a green flash blasting through the Tokyo streets, we honestly have no idea what Kawasaki is up to. If our ears are to be believed, we would have to say that the bike is a descendent of the now-mothballed Kawasaki ZX-RR MotoGP racebike. Maybe another street-legal MotoGP bike (joining the Ducati Desmosedici RR) is just wishful thinking but it sure sounds a lot like the ZX-RR’s inline-Four screamer. Could it be the new ZX-14 that we’ve heard rumors about?
Hopefully whatever it is the reality lives up to the expectations generated by the teaser, because the implication is a totally badass and hardcore sportbike. Either way, we should have an answer to the mystery on October 10, 2011, according to the copy at the end of the video which precedes the slogan “Witness The Phenomenon.” Let’s keep our fingers crossed for something really cool.
