Your Turn: Readers WriteAnother day at the races for one CW reader.

Your Turn: Readers Write

Here at Cycle World, readers write too! Josh Gonen lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and takes advantage of our AMA Superbike ticket giveaways as often as he can. But he gives back to his fellow readers by taking plenty of pictures; here are some of them and his impressions of the weekend.

The temperatures were soaring, but the racing was status quo. The Yoshimura Superbike show was controlled by Ben Spies on this particular weekend. Spies was extra-focused, determined to prove that he is the best motorcycle racer in the United States, and is deserving of a factory MotoGP ride next year.

Infineon Raceway finally finished its extensive renovation work, and is now truly a world-class facility. The Superstock race was the closest race of the weekend, but unfortunately the spectators were again robbed of an epic last-lap battle due to a red flag. Yamaha’s Ben Bostrom had a great Sunday and dominated the Supersport event. All in all it was good fun. Napa Valley always is.
