Back in June, we brought you news of a revised 2008 Hayabusa, but other than Suzuki-supplied press-kit information, we couldn’t tell you that much. Usually, you’d have to wait until the press intro, then you’d have to wait until the editor got back, decompressed, scanned his notes, wrote his story, had the copy edited, approved, polished and then posted to a website or printed on dead trees before you knew if the bike was worth the hype.

This time, we’re doing something different. Road Test Editor Don Canet (who rode the Hayabusa at its original press launch in 1999) is at the ’Busa’s 2008 press intro, going on right now. So through the miracle of the Internet, we’re going to post live dispatches from Elkhart Lake, Road America and points in between as he rides this mega-horsepower road missile on the strip, street and racetrack.
